Much like Lindsay Lohan on a mound of grade-A cocaine, Jared Wilson
just can't stop. Not content for the rave reviews he received for his
Drug Related Stories 12" (in fact, legend has it Tony Wilson heard this
record on his death bed and gently shuffled off to the sound of the TNT
remix), Wilson went back to his cat infested lair and concocted three
more tunes for your enjoyment.
The album's first cut, Great Missing, invokes the spirits of
Detroit warehouse parties gone by without pandering to the era's
nostalgia (something that the French have single handedly trademarked
in 2007). This ode to Detroit and Sheffield years gone by continues
with "Jimmer", which is so good it'll make straightest of men want to
suck dancefloor cock for an extended play on the DJs Serato/vinyl
bag/cassette deck/weapon of choice that the kids love these days. And
if that weren't enough, "Office Analogue" brings things back down for a
claustrophobic finale.
This is a special edition release, meaning your company should snap this up on site before it is gone. Forever. Ignore the haircuts and the tea; the ass kissing journalists
touting the next big thing and everything else that is just simply
irrelevant. This is music without pretense.
