Jared Wilson
Bangkok Four Seasons Hotel

It is no secret that Jared Wilson lusts for machines from a different time and place to create his signature sound that reflects the best of italo, acid, house, and techno. A walk though his studio reads like a college course catalog; 101, 303, 505, 808, and so on and so forth.

It may be less known however that Jared used to spend a considerable amount of time on the Asian Continent, where he was able to experience a different way of life. Bangkok Four Seasons Hotel is a composite of those experiences, including everything from the area’s rich history, to the loud, dimly lit clubs of the capitol city.

“BFSH” provides the anchor for the release, weighing in with rich, full, analog goodness, complete with warming synth tonalities. You could call it acid, techno, house, or disco. We don’t care as long as you sweat! “New Cable Freaks 19303” turns up the heat with slick arpeggio elements making it something that begs to be called “video game disco”.

Rounding out the EP is a remix of “BFSH” by one of dance music’s most respected names, Osborne, on one of America’s premier electronic labels, Spectral Sound. His take on the original is of a funked up acid house pedigree, familiar with everyone after the critical success that was his 2008 self-titled album.

Record includes a dropcard to redeem a free digital copy of the release. 400 copies, 50 white label, no repress.
